With a start and finish at 7,400ft elevation, this 116 mile loop gravel grinder with the option of riding solo, duo, or in a team of 3 or 4. The course has 4,322ft of climbing/descent, two Rio Grande bridge crossings, one National Monument, and a sacred mountain to boot. The hospitality from the residents of Questa, New Mexico, a centuries old Spanish village will make even the weak return. Culture meets adventure in this part of the Wild West and the Rio Grande Grinder is no exception.
Ride solo for the full 116 miles. Ride as a duo up to 70 miles for Rider #1 and 44 for Rider #2. Riders on a team can put in as little as 22 miles. There is a lot of flexibility on the distance you ride based on which aid stations you choose to transition. If you are interested in riding only solo for a distance around 40-60 miles, shoot us an email on the contact us form. Once we get about 7 people, we’ll plug in that category if the BLM gives the thumbs up. Working on that already.
